I lost my mom in 2013 and like a lot of black men, we are close to our moms and can be called “Moma’s Boys” . It’s easy to play tough and act as if we are always okay but when I lost her, I couldn’t pretend. It broke my heart and I’ve never been the same without my mom.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD ASPECT OF BEING A BLACK MAN?
That we shouldn’t show emotions or have feelings.

Because we have been through so much and still stand strong.
