OCCUPATION: Aspiring Psychologist

SHARE A STORY OR EXPERIENCE THAT DEFINES YOUR JOURNEY AS A BLACK MAN.
There’s many but the part that comes up the most in the journey is overcoming anxiety , religion, societal norms, as a sheltered kid. Seeing myself as more than mediocre, even enough to believe in my craft and that I have room in the entertainment world. To not judge myself for the many flaws I have that makes me feel I don't deserve. I was booked for a huge project and being the only black man on set gave me the utmost anxiety, especially sharing the space with A list celebs who made me feel like I didn’t deserve to be in that space. I had to believe in what GOD gave me and just do it. I still see myself on screen and be like wtf was I doing.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD ASPECT OF BEING A BLACK MAN?
I believe the most understood is that we don’t know how to love. As if we are supposed to be robots. I feel we love too much which is why we end up in horrible situations. Especially living gay lifestyle we have to support everyone but somehow we end up the enemies on all sides for helping for loving to help.
